Blanket is a town located in Brown County. At the 2010 US Census the population was around 400. According to some accounts, Blanket received its name in 1852 when a group of surveyors came upon a group of Tonkawa Indians who had been caught in a downpour and consequently for protection spread their blankets over bushes near the creek.
